Ok, I can't even get my car into program mode, I've tried cycling the key (everywhere i read says the same thing!).
So, I checked keylessride.com and they say *YES* i do have it, supposedly it's been standard since 94. I have an 03 LX Auto, with that damn flashing *theft* light, so i'm guessing i have it. But it's not letting me enter programming mode. I know I'm cycling fast enough, in fact im 99% sure i'm doing everything right, I just reprogrammed one for my dad's Mach 1. So I'm guessing either some random fuse, or wrong remote. I don't have the owner's manual handy, so that's out. The # on the back of the remote is : 2S4T-15K601-AA, could someone please check if these are a match on theirs? The doors don't even lock, so I can't even get to that part. Is my car capable of keyless or is it a no go?

how do you program it? mine doesnt work either, it used to work, it came with the car then one day it just stopped working, ive bought a new battery for it and that didnt work either.

 

you just have to put the key in then turn to the on position but not start and the back off again. do this 8-10 times rapidly until the door locks go up and down and there is some time of sound. then just push a button on the remote keycain!

He sure is. I can't remember the specifics but that sounds about right.

 

yeah, thats exactly right. That is programing your remote to yourr car, since each remote is different.

 

that's great, but no one answered my question... DAMMIT...lol. This remote is just gathering dust.

 

and im guessing your battery needs to be working for this to happen? lol

 

lol that would probably help figuring the door locks dont move up and down on their own

 

god.. im dead in the water... or ice... or snow... whichever.. until i get a new battery then...
