I was one day plugging in a lighter vaccum for the car and all of sudden the cigarette lighter just stopped working can anyone guess what happened? can it be fixed, is it a fuse?

My first instinct would be to check the fuse...

 

u shouldnt smoke, unless its weed, in which case i hope u fix the lighter.

 

More than likely its the fuse, it is not a very big fuse to begin with, it definately doesnt like inverters.

 

There are other things to smoke besides weed and cigarettes, so in which case i agree that i hope you get it fixed

But my friend had the same problem and i think it was the fuse which he fixed, il ask him about it when i can. Just becareful because it works for him now, but instead of just poping out when hot, it shoots out like a bullet. hahaha its dangerous

should say in either the owners manual or the back of the fuse box cover. I can't remember.

 

yea its most likely the fuse. I had to replace mine and the manual for your car will tell you which one to replace.

 

man, my 01 stang doesn't even have a lighter...
