Default Pulleys.

Ok.. 24%/42%. Ive heard that the 24% is good for ~5 horses.. The 42% is good for ~8horses. So given this I have a large sound system i run in the car. Does it really put a lot of strain on the alternator? Because thats 3 hp were talkin here, i paid ~200 for a CAI that adds about that, i think i would miss out on a lot if i were to get the ASP pulley. Wut yall think?

No i saw the post he's talkin about. Its just a different question i have alotta audio equipment. And would the loss of 3 horses be worth it, and what effects are on the audio. Im not talkin about getting stuff for christmas like that other post was.

anyways....

i would just go with the 25%. that is what i have, and could tell that the motor will wind tighter if you want to cal it that. i have a system and have had no problems other than when my alternator went out with recharging. i have heard there isn't much difference between both, and most people don't want to decrease their belt speed by almost 50%.

If you have a large system, then go 24%, 42% just isn't worth any potential power drain, nor are they worth the website they're sold by.

Put it this way, I've had bad dealings, a buddy at work had a hard time with them over a cai, and several, hold on, scratch that, many people on here have had problems. It's not their products, it's their shipping and customer service that sucks, because if they ship something wrong, they are highly reluctant to help get you what you ordered, they always try to say you ordered something else, they're a real pain.
