Everything on my car has been done but the replacement of spar plugs for the 60k mile maintenance. I'm going to get the oil changed this weekend, and I was wondering if spark plugs is a DIY kind of thing, swap in, with no real hard work, or if its a mechanic thing. Either way, how much can I expect to spend to do it myself, vs having a mechanic do it?

 

buck 50 a plug or less or 25-50 for somone to do it

 

so its definitely cheaper, how difficult would it be?

 

1-5 5 being hardest, about a 3 for getting in there if you have large arms, other wise, its a 1-2

 

DIY, oh, and sixers are much easier to do than V8s, my GT was a royal pain.

 

I think I'll go the DIY route, and save the money for a short shifter or something.

 

yea im not that mechanically inclined and i did it on my v8s so go for it. if you have a repair manual just follow instructions and you should be good man!

 

k i was lookin at my engine n the spark plag is right next to the header half covered up... how the hell do u reach it?? i have large hands btw
