40-60% hp gain, if you're all stock, it's gonna be closer to 40% gain. Just get an S/C kit, your internals are good up to 300 rwhp, so you'll need a little more than a supercharger to hit that threshold, but once you get close to 300, you better start looking at forged internals.

Either a Procharger or Vortech Centrifugal kit would work. The stock internals on the sixer are actually very strong. You'll probably want to get upgraded head gaskets if your doin much over 4lbs of boost because the stock gaskets suck and blow even on n/a motors. You should expect to get around 270rwhp with a supercharger kit at stock 4lbs of boost. The stock injectors are only good for that much so if you want to surpass that you'll need bigger injectors, maf, and a tuner. which im workin on doin myself right now.

270 rwhp on 4lbs, better double check your charts, Erick, owner of showstang, and autobadges.com, is running 9 psi, and has done nearly every mod possible to his 95 V6, and just barely broke the 300 rwhp point. Like I said, 7-9 PSI will net you 40-60% hp gain over stock, so stock 94-98s have roughly 120 rwhp, so a 40% gain is 168 rwhp, 60% gain is 192 rwhp, that's far from 270. It would probably take nearly 15lbs of boost to put you at 270 rwhp on an other wise stock sixer.

Here is showstang

Hmm i think you may be confused...

"The Mustang offers a pretty good 3.8-liter V6 with 150 horsepower and 215 pound-feet of torque
as its basic engine, although the GM V6 engines have more muscle.
The GT is equipped with a 4.6-liter single overhead cam V8, rated at
215 hp and 285 lb.-ft. of torque"

1997 3.8 / 232 SFI 150HP @4000 215TQ @2750 3.81x3.39 9.0:1 40-60@2500

They make 150hp 215tq stock.

Im not sure where you got those numbers but if i had 120rwtq to start off with, with half the efficiency of a honda i would of drove my car over a cliff a long time ago.

Maybe because I used to own a 98 V6 and it had 125 rwhp when I had her dynoed, and that was with full exhaust, tuned, cai, and u/d pullies. Remember, 150 hp is bhp, or hp off the flywheel, serously, I have been on the forums for a while, I think I know a thing or two about sixers.

Remember, BHP, or base hp, is "GENERALLY" hp measured off the flywheel, it incorportes no loss of hp to the rear wheels due to friction, and power transfer that occurs in the tranny.

RWHP, is rear wheel hp, or your actual hp at the rear wheels. A 7 psi supercharger, with a good tune and a few supporting mods like full exhaust, will put a 94-98 V6 at around 190 rwhp, a 4 psi would probably put you at 160 or so rwhp, not 270.

One more thing, manual transmissions, "GENERALLY" have a 16% power loss from the engine to the rear wheels, autos suffer anywhere from 18%-23% power loss to the rear wheels. So 150 X .16 = 124 rwhp, 150 X .23 = 116 rwhp.

"A 7 psi supercharger, with a good tune and a few supporting mods like full exhaust, will put a 94-98 V6 at around 190 rwhp"

However the same guy you posted earlier showstang has a video on youtube showing him dyno it at 7lbs and he attached this info

"Timing is bumped ever so slightly on the last pull with 11.8 a/f throughout the band and hitting 285rwhp/300rwtq on only 7psi on a singleport 95 v6 Ford Mustang"

Thats quite a huge jump from 190rwhp like you said? what am i missing here?

Sure hp might be lower but im talking about the rw torque is going to be a lot higher which is what matters. If you thought i meant id have 270hp or anywhere close to that god no but at 4psi i would be getting close to 270 since you can see his rwtq at 7lbs is 300.

For Erick to hit 280 rwhp he had a full port and polished intake job, inlarged throttle body, cam work, head work, and a full fuel system upgrade. To hit 300 he went from a 7 psi to a 9 psi pulley.
