when im at a dead stop and i start to go when i floor it the rpm's go to almost the red line i have to let off the gas for it to change gears is that bad?

hey bro i have a 2000 auto and mine does the same thing , i dont know either i figured it was just because it was an automatic

well if your flooring it, the auto will shift AT redline. If your not gunning it, it will shift at the appropriate RPM.
