Default Question

I have a 1996 mustang and i was wondering if i started using synthetic oil now would it mess up my engine???

I'm not too sure on this one, I'd just keep using regular 5W 30 and or 10W 30 and keep it safe. I like Castrol, but Valvalene is good too.

It is not recommended you will start getting leaks because synthetic malocules are smaller then non synthetic and they will find holes that your current oil can not get through. This is assuming you have a high mileage engine in your 96.

do all mustangs for the CAI have the box around it or is that a ram air intake????

The ram air has the filter inside the engine bay, and therefore uses a full heat sheild, the cold air intake has the filter inside the fender well, which keeps the air comming into the intake cool, and keeps engine efficiency up, both however have the same approx rwhp gains.

Most of them, the ones that are titled cold air intake are cold air, they go in the fenderwell, the one for 99-04 V6 mustangs that's titled ram is, is a ram air intake, it sits in the engine bay.
