me and my friends are having a debate on what will win a 1968 ford mustang small block or a 2003 ford mustang V-6 convertable they are both compleatly stock. wich one will win in a 1/4 mile

if its a stock 289 u got em, if its a stock 302 w/ a 2 barrel its rated at 220 hp and would probally be a close race b/c hes heavier. if its a stock 302 w/ a 4 barrel its rated at 250 hp and your toast.if your talking about a 351w then dont even embarass yourself.

Really depends on the transmission, and the driver, and the model, but if it's the 302 or larger you're probably toast, actually more than likely, the V6 is toast. Remember 1968 was one of the best years for the old Mustang in terms of being a true muscle car.

the 68 small block is 281ci and the V-6 has the t-3650 and wont go into 3rd at times

he was sayn the one hes thinking about racing is a 281.....meaning 289 i guess, i dont know anythign about em but you said its suppose to be 289. so he is gonna race a 289 mustang in his v6 that wont shift into third at times.

The "281" is the motor out of my car[&:]
Like previously stated if it's a stock 289 or a 302 then you should have him. I have a friend with a 69 351W and even with his traction problems there's no way it would lose to a V6. Just make sure he doesn't try to pull a fast one
