yes you will need a tranny and clutch system but also the wiring harnesses and all the other **** a cobra would need. if you consider that a decent 4v 4.6 will cost a few grand and the tranny and other stuff will cost another $2000 you would be better off buying a supercharger, longtubes, h-pipe and exhaust and saving some money and be almost equal in power to a 96-01 cobra.

I replied in your other thread.

I am pretty sure you will need the bellhousing and since you have a automatic you will need alot more stuff JUST for the 5-speed swap.

Its not worth it imo. Sell yuor car and get a actual cobra. It would be MUCH cheaper in the long run

im lokking to spend 12-14 grand not 27-29 for the car. it would acctually be cheaper to by the engine and swap it. even if it was i dont care cuz im not paying for it. parents promised if i get full ride to college and save them 30 grand.

try to talk them into buying you a blower and 4.2 stroker for your car. that would be about the same power if you put the right cam in.

Hey I noticed Super Six Motor Sports sells a 4.3L stroker, but it uses the 4.2L crank so whats getting the extra .1L....is it the height of the piston or something?
