i recently purchased the Pypes X-pipe w/ cats. My question is do i need any other parts to install these on a v6 mustang??

I also have two magnaflows, hopefully it sounds like a gt

 

after you get it installed get a sound clip

 

hate to let ya down man but an even fire 6 will never sound like a V8. it isnt possible. you will probably have a good sounding 6er but it wont sound like an 8. if you have the xpipe and a catback you shouldnt need anything else. do you just have the 2 mufflers? if so you have to get some pipe custom fabbed up.

with the x pipe u will need or extenders because the current wires wont reach thats what i have been told any way that is the x im about to buy but im getting the whole pypes kit i think i havent decided to get pypes cat back with the violator mufflers or get magnaflows cat backs

True but you only need extenders of you have an 04 any other model you do not need them. Cause the cats on the 04's have 4 cats 2 on each side.

but Magnaflows should sound great, get what you pay for.

With the Pypes brand umay need an extention for the upper 2 sensors.My model year, 2000, wasn't supposed to need them so i didn't get them when i installed my Pypes x-pipe, but for some reason the stock O2 sensors weren't long enough. So i spliced in some extra wire on the sensors with some old computer cables and its working great so far..So i say go ahead and get the extentions if u can

 

good luck i just put in my pypes and intsallation was a b****. i had to extend the wires, and they didnt send two of the phlanges. I also had 2 make my own tail pipe hangers to avoid cutting the bumper

 

why do 04's have 4 cats & the rest have 2???? & if you do a de-cat do you need both o2 sensor extenders & MIL eliminators or just one of the other???
