so has anybody here completely tore out the whole interior of their car before? i know jthorn has done the seats andive done the back seat before. im asking because i would like to get an estimate as to how long i think it will take me to take out the 2 front seats, back seat, center consol, and carpet. i bought some dynaliner to put down all along the floor of the car because my exhaust gives my girlfriend a headache. i figure quieting it down a little and cuasing a lot less vibration will be nice anyway. oh and the driver seat is power and the passenger isnt. sooo how long do you think it will take?

a weekend, maybe a full day if you are fast but start in the morning, not the afternoon. The matting might take a bit of time to lay down.

Passenfer Seat - Manual - approx 10 minutes to have it out (and most of that time will be getting tools and getting ready)
Drivers Seat Power - Be prepared to be there for a while, took me approx 5 hours and some change to get mine out
Rear Seat - Probably an hour because of the tight spot
Center Console - Probably an hour or two
Carpet - maybe 30 mintues because it "SHOULD" just slide out

What did you do that made it take that long?

All you have to do is unplug it and take it out just like the passenger seat. I took out the old power seat from mine changed it to a power seat with power lumbar in it from an '01 GT in under a half hour. and I had to splice wires for that.

I've taken everything out of my old chevy blazer cuz somebody spilled oil on the floor and it took maybe 1.5 hours

Sorry I meant to edit, I hit quote instead [:@]

i figued the driver seat would be just unplug and unbolt. what made it take so long?
the rear i can do in about 20 seconds. i have had it in and out like 10 times. the center consol and driver seat are what im worried about...well not worried. but i think they will take the longest.

It shouldn't take too long to pull out the interior but the majority of your time will be spent cutting the dynaliner to fit, hence a day.

I have heard good things about it too. It will help in the floor pans and such but I think where you are going to notice it the most is if you use it as a buffer between the seat mounts and the floor. Don't quote me on it but it makes sense. You'll just have to poke some holes for thebolts to go though.

This may be a good question for the guys in the audio section.
