is it really safe to spray your engine with a hose

 

only if you let the water run out of the hose, don't use a sprayer or your thumb to increase the pressure. It's as safe as driving through the rain, if an engine was unable to get wet, tehn the world would shut down on rainy days. It's pretty much over-looked common sense, I used to think the same way.

im going to be cleaning my engine bay this week[8D]. keeping the pony running during the rinse sounds like a great idea

 

I drive mine to the car wash, turn it off, simple green, and spray it.

Haven't had a problem yet.

 

I clean mine all the time and even did someone else's a few weeks ago, who's was disgusting, and had no issues at all.

 

i was always told not to dry the battery with a rag because it will cause whatever on top the battery to eat away at the rag...dont know if thats true or not

 

i did mine to day and what i did is cover up filter on intake and couple wires and used engine degreaser and brake cleaner and loaded in on my car then took the power washer and looks amazing now shining

 

wow all of that sounds like alot of work how much $$$could it be to have someone else do all that while you relax, or is it somewhat enjoyable like workin on your car......

 

Heck i enjoy working on my car...and cleaning is part of that...i find it therapudic (sp)

 

well thats probably because your is f~<%in awesome if i had that ride i wouldnt let noone touch it
