my '96 makes that wierd noise when i turn.i hear it on almost all mustangs like mine.is this normal? if not how can i fix it? heres a link to a vid. listen as i turn.

yeah, i'm gettin smoked ones so i started takin em off and then i hurt my arm and i cant take that one off with one arm. yeah the peel sucked but idc i never seen mine burnout from the outside b4.

Yeah it's normal. You're lucky it's not worse actually. Ford power steering pumps are notorious for noise. However, either your idler pulley or belt tensioner pulley needs to be replaced. I could hear it while your engine was at idle. Pull the belt and spin the two pullies by hand. You will then be able to tell which one it is you need to replace.

yeah i hate that sound. i think it's the alternator pulley and the belt tensioner pulley.

It's not the alternator. I listened to it again, and I can hear it moreso when you would give it the gas. I just wasn't paying much attention the first time. I guarantee you it's either the idler pulley or tensioner pulley.
