would it help to?
just curious cause i am always thinking of crazy ideas. would it help to :
1. wrap you intake with a heat shield material?
2. since you draw air from the fenderwell. has anyone ever made like a custom pipe that would go off the intake filter inside the fender well ,down the top of fender well and make a solid connection to one of the holes where fogs go in front bumper.
would this improve or just suck in trash?

yea and u would suck up alot of water. and for the first one wrapping the exhaust manifold with thermal wrap would help keep engine bay temps alot lower. and putting a heat shield around ur intake would keep the air cooler. thas always good.
actually they make things for the 2nd one. they call it a ram air kit but it isnt really. and yea you could do it pretty easilly but it probably wont help you much. there arent really that many twists and bends at all. its almost a straight shot with one little curve at the bottom. its easy and as long as you keep the filter up where it is now it wont hurt anything. you wont suck in water or anything. there isnt enough force to suck it up that high.
edit: i dont think americanmuscle carrys them anymore, maybe they do but i dont see it. callifornia mustang does though...right HERE. but it doesnt have one for the 6. you could make it work though. probably pretty damn easy.

Just an FYI for the knowlegeable...Keep in mind that your tires do fling a copious amount of water directly at the location of your filter in the case of a fenderwell intake. Hence the necessity of a splash guard. Just remember that when hashing out new intake ideas.
