Default Need some help!

Hey, I'm new on these forums so thanks for answering my questions!

I am the proud owner of a 2002 V6 Mustang Coupe 5 speed. I moved up from a 1990 Honda Civic DX Hatchback, so it's quite a change. The power the Mustang has stock is so much more than im used to, but like every other person out there, I'm thinking 'UPGRADES'

I'm on a budget, I'm 18, I'm paying for the car and insurance myself, so it sets me back 650 a month out of my 1000 monthly income.

I am looking for the cheapest, and most powerful modifications I can do.

What I am looking for is more"Umph" off the line. I'm not really interested in top speed, seeing as if i get a ticket I am kind of screwed because of insurance rates.

Spacifcly
-Quicker and more power off the line
-Quicker reving at lower speeds (I know you you cant make the car top out at80 m.p.h. in 5th gear, but that is exactly whatI would want.
-Louder exhaust system, making my V6 sound more liek a V8, more of a 'throaty' sound. I would also like to upgrade to a Twin Exhaust. (I'm thinking a MagnaflowCatBack system.)
-Cold-Air intake system

Most importantly, I'm on a budget, but I don't want crappy parts either. I am just looking for parts that are of Higher Quality and Preformance over the OEM parts.

Any other premormance parts would be nice. I'm new into this 'Muscle Car Scene', coming from a little ricer. So company names to look for, other websites, good websites to order through. Everyhting is appreciated.

Thank you all for you inputs and comments, I greatly appreaciate it!

africkan6 had a magnaflow exhaust system and didnt particularly like it, he prefers the force mufflers. For a tite budget id recommend getting a gt takeoff dual exhaust and put on theforces

cold-air intake you can get an ebay brand, most work just fine, BOMZ is a good one.

hey i have the exact same car same budget and want the same mods pretty much we are twins! I was wondering if geting gears is worth it and how much it is to get it installed, how much hp gain is there and do you ever have any problems with it?? /... now for exaust iw as thinkin aobut geting the magnaflow exaust to im looking for a deep throaty sound but not to loud, would the gt takoffs with the mufflers give me any hp gain and would it be hard to install at all, and is it loud?

welcome, deff dont hesitate to ask any questions. The above mods sound good. I have heard good things out of the force flow mufflers but i still love my flowmasters. I would suggest getting a more reliable cai form like mac or bbk from autobadges, they will get the same hp but cheap could be damaging to the engine over time and they tend to look like crap later down the road. for what u want, gears would be a great mod and u will feel results with the quicker acceleration
