Default Service Engine Light..

I put on my dual exhaust with an o/r x-pipe and i put the mil elimintors on but i think the guy didnt put them on right bc my light came on after like a day but its not the check engine light its the service engine soon light..is there a difference..and could it have come on for another reason you think?

It's probably due for some service then. You need to check the manual and see what it needs for the mileage you have.

I got my cats taken off about 2-3 weeks ago, My car just now threw the code. Kindof wierd, but i am just gonna save up and get a tuner to help get rid of that. Anyone have the link to check the codes on a 99+00 v6 by using the odometer???

If it was a problem with the exhaust work it would have don it right away, not several weeks later and it would be the "check engine" light on. It just needs to have some thing done and it's reminding you. How many miles are on it?

o ya and one more thing..what if it shows up that i have no cats is the reason that the light is on..what then and will they do anything about it you think??

See if this helps. If your tires are off a little the odom will be off so it might think it's time.
