Sounds like a broken input shaft. I sheared my input, counter, and output shaft, along with destroying 1st,2nd, and 5th gear. It was a nasty sound. It wouldn't go into gear and made a ton of noise if the clutch was let out.

hey man i know exactly what your problem is... i had the same deal. alright put your drivers seat back all the way, and the steering column up, crawl under where the pedals are, look above the gas pedal, and you are going to see the white plastic clutch quadrent, if you see the part where the cable hooks on to the top of it, take your hand and pull it towards you, you are going to see the clutch pedal move towards the floor. Hold the cable/quadrent with your one hand and if you pull back on the pedal you will hear the quadrent 'clicking' becuase there is a factory adjustment that sometimes slipps, so just rotate the quadrent towards you and pull back on the clutch pedal and you can adjust where the friction point of your clutch engages at, if you look at it enough you will figure it out, if you want the clutch to grab right off the floor you can do that, or if you want it to start grabbing near the top of the pedal you can have that too.. and anywhere in between, i hope this helped.. i did mine literally 2 days ago, and if the teeth start to wear down on the quadrent or the smaller piece that is on the other side of the quadrent, just get a metal quadrent, ive got a steeda one on order. real easy to put on, i hope you understand what im tryin to say.. its easier to do than to explain

thanx ill check that out.... would that cause my clutch to not engage though? because right now when the car is on i can freely move within the gears without touching the pedal

uh.... man i dont know about that.. mine was the other way around. like i could have the clutch in all the way and it wouldnt go into gear...how does your pedal feel? is it super tight, or does it feel like it is real loose with alotof play in it.
