Default mac vs. flowmaster

alright here it goes...i am on my second and last exhaust....my first setup was longtubes h pipe and mac flowpaths (dumps) and the second was the same but flowmaster 40's. FLOWMASTERS make a world of difference

MAC...when i got them installed i almost cried...the sound sucked...2 weeks later they broke in and everyone love it until i reved past 3000...total rice. when i cranked the car it sounded like a 5.0 but not for long..you can definitely tell they are made cheap too...after only 2 months they already have rust all over them...no tone...too much drone and vibration (thought because of dumps)

Flowmaster 40's...whoa...i cranked it up an instantly loved it....between 3000-3500 they sound a little raspy but not like rice...when i crank the car it sounds amazing almost like i have cams...the interior drone isnt half as bad and there is little vibration whatsoever...they actually have a sound instead of a buzzing...sounds more like a muscle car then a honda civic

in the end my vote and everyone elses vote is for flowmasters...i have gotten compliments at lights and by almost everyone and i have only had them for 2 days..si if anyone is debating on mufflers take it from me...flowmaster sounds so much better than mac

I agree on the flows. There was a modded six cruizing behind me and i saw that he rolled down his window halfway and left it there for a good 10seconds. There was no smoke coming from his window and it was cold as heck outside. He pulled into a driveway a little bit down the road. I am pretty positive he did that to hear my exhaust, i love having the flows and no cats!!!

People say that flows are cheaply made and sound horrible, but i think if they were like that, they wouldn't have stayed in business so long and have a very good rep!

I had my exhaust for the past 7months, but i just got my cats off this christmas. Very big difference. The first time i came back to the house with the cats off, i had my neighbor turn around and comment how nice my car was now while he was on the ladder 15ft up in the air. Thought that was kindof cool.
