Default HELP.

so this has just been a waste of my life. I just got a MAC CAI (fenderwell) for my '99 and so i'm all done taking the stock intake off and removing the mas air so i can reuse it and the i go to put on the MAC and theres a hose missing. so i go to home depot and get some plumbing tubing as a temporary fix which seemed to work (for now). no big deal i guess... just me complaining haha.

so then here's my question: i install the whole thing and then go underneath the car to put in the filter in and it is WAY to huge. no way it's going to fit unless i relocate the pump there (which i have no idea how approach...). it's like (litterally) twice the size of the stock conical filter. and i know it's supposed to bigger but how do i make it fit?? please help. thanks

Better write the website back and tell them you're missing a part. I've heard about moving the pump, but that's a problem we really don't hear about too much here, which makes me question if it's really a true MAC cai.

i just read the installation post for CAI on mustangworld.com and it talks about moving the pump but my kit didn't come with additional brackets. F*CK. i'm really frustrated.

I would contact MAC or the vendor you purchased from because it sounds like toy may have the wrong kit.

Some pics may help us to be able to tell.

sorry but people are stupid a$$es for wasting money on a CAI anyways.

complete waste of a good $100+ when just a K&N in the stock filterbox with silencer removed gives the same gains
