Default Uh Oh

me and my cousin were changing the spark plugs on his new mustang same year same model same color as mine... lol anyway on the farthest left cylinder ( the 3rd I believe correct me if im wrong) there was alot of what appeared to be oil on the spark plug it was all in the threads and everything but all the others looks fine besided looking like they hadnt been changed in 160,000 km... anyway im not 100% what the cause of this might be just thoughtI would ask im hoping its nothing serious he just bought this car hahah

Oil on the threads can mean a bad valve seal. When they are worn oil will seep past onto the plugs. Does it smoke at all when he first starts it? That's a sure sign it needs seals.

mmm not that I am aware of if this somthing he should be concerned about about how much are new valve seals??

the seals arent much but install will be a bit steep unless u are willing to do it yourself

it's the notorius PCV valve letting too much oil through on splitports. the only thing to do is do a pcv delete. put a small catch bulb in line between the pcv and intake. the catch should have a stockcock valve at the bottom to drain oil out of. the catch bulb will catch most of the excess oil from the pcv valve and the engine will not recieve the oil into the intake. that is quite a bad situation as the oil will leave heavy deposits on the intake valve and hurt performance not to mention cause detonation. i would run a bottle of seafoam through a vacume line to clean the intake and valves of the excess oil. his car will run alot better if you do that
