Default Grille Delete

Ive been thinking about getting that grille delete, my question is if you buy the 2 piece cant you just keep the third piece in the back on and just put the lower border that goes on the bumper and the floating horse, is there really a need to get the 3rd piece if you can just keep the original one? Anyone try this let me know guys.

Thanks

yes, i wish i could do that with mine. but my grille was just the grille, didnt come with the back piece.

i dont see why it wouldnt....maybe you'd have to cut and drill a spot for the chrome pony to mount onto the radiator frame...through that stock rear piece.
but it would only me a 5min job, maybe.

worth a try, and it'd save you 1/2 the cost.

buy the 3pc and sell me the extra piece you dont need.

there isnt really a 3rd piece thats in the back stock. the 2 piece looks fine, that back piece doesnt make much of a difference. i got the 3 just because i like the very small added touch but if you wanted the 2 piece you wouldnt need to do anything to the car to make it work or look right. most people wont even be able to tell.

so amrcnidyot your saying that i can just take off the grille with the pony and leave the backborder close to the radiator there and just put the 2 piece on?

i thought so too, but now im looking for that 3rd piece for real cheap.

it cleans it up alot when you look straight at it.

i didnt think the pony bracket would be able to bolt on to the frame with that stock piece in the way(without cutting it)...if it does, sweet! save some $$
