what is the max hp/torque you can get from a 2004 3.9l and what got you there?

I see caikits, throttlebody kits, tuners and exhaust kits. Some boast anywhere from 9hp and up.what kind of money are you talking?

No they don't.

CAI - 2-3 rwhp
TB - 0 rwhp on a stock intake, intake must be ported to get any gain at all
Exhaust - 3-4 rwhp
Pullies - 5-8 rwhp


Don't believe everything you read, those power gains are over rated, and are usually based on high powered engines.

 

Oh, there is no "MAX" you can get, it all depends on how much money you have and how far you really wanted to go. I'm pretty sure that somebody could get 1000 rwhp out of a V6 if they really wanted to.

 

I've seen your numbers. that seems to be the consensus view. I should have gotten a V-8. Ha Ha.

you need to be more clear on what you mean are you talking about the stock engine? like stock internals , or one that is rebuilt? there is a big *** difference
