Default Cold Air Intake

I have an 03 V6 and I saw they had a Cold air intake for my car on ebay for about 60 dollars. I was just wondering if the new cold air intake actually improves the performance of the car very much, and is it easy to install. I basically have no experience modifying cars, so is it something a begginner could do basically.

Also, is the 60 dollar product a good deal. I cannot tell what brand the kit is, it looks like TIL or something like that, I have no clue what that is, but it comes with K and N preoiled air filter and then all the necessary parts.

Some times the cheaper ones don't quite fit right, everyone has their own opinion on what is best. I bought on that sounds similar to the one you are looking at and have no problems with it at all, it was a good buy. Mine was no name tubing with a K&N filter (which is the important part), based on my experience I would say go for it. Can you post a link so I can see it?

We have some tech articles here, one being a CAI install how to. You can find them in the sticky named " Tech Articles and How To's" at the top of the section

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I would hope since it says it is made just for the V6 99-04 that it would fit right.

I'm not sure about waranty, you could call the dealership and ask them, or one of the other people on here may know.

You could always also just take out the air sliencer out of your stock air box and get a stock replacement K&N filter. Some have done that and are happy with the results.

the whole idea on the cai is the strait tube that goes from the cai to the TB. it is strait and not as restricting.
