are you ever going to really push the car hard enough to need your rear brakes to be cooled down? the fronts do most of the work anyway.

Hes got a point. The only time that having something to cool the rear brakes is helpful is on track cars.

No 99-04 scoops are not functional. They can be made functional though like I have done.
U have any pics of this? Ive been wanting to geta GT hood scoop and cut out the bottom of the hood to make it functional. But im wonderin of that or the cervinis legendary mach hood.

ok... I thought Shelby made the early mustang's vents and scoops functional. If it wasnt for him they would be just for pretty. And I also think it was just the 1965 model that he made functional. I've been wrong before though.

I made the hood scoop functional but I didn't bother with the sides. I might do it eventually just because I hate having fake **** on my car too but I really don't see the point of cooling the rear brakes. The turbo in the side scoops however would be awesome but talk about lag.. Anyways I'd post some pics I took on how to do the hood but they were on Yahoo who decided to delete my account for no reason that I had for ten years and I lost pretty much everything importent to me online. But what you have to do is just take out the hood liner and plastic piece then trace and cut out a hole in the hood with enough of the outer edges left to attach the honeycomb to. The real bitch is the time you will spend cutting out each and every hole in the honeycomb with a razor. Theres 130 of them if I remember right. I plan to eventually get a GT style scoop but it's good how it is at the moment. Looks alot better than when it was fake and it's cool on cold mornings when I'll be sitting at a light or somthing and steamy air pours out from the hood. And NO rain is absolutley no problem at all so get over it.
