Default Filter Cleanin

I have a K&N filter and i was just wondering how to clean it? And i just removed the silencer but the rubber seal on the filter came out and u coul not put it back on so i just put it in without it. Would that be a problem?

I wouldn't run it like that, it's letteing air get by the filter instead of going through it. I have a almost new one I'll let you have real cheap. It was on my car less than a week.

it depends on if it is tight in the box or not, u could just buy a cheap ebay cai and put your k&n on there, as for cleanin go to the auto parts store and get a k&n recharger kit, it comes with directions and oil for your filter
