If i buy the transgo shift kit, will it totally eliminate the lag when my car goes from 1st to second to 3rd, etc...bc i'm hanging in there with my friends 2000 camaro until my auto shifts..than it lags power for like almost a solid second (or at least it feels like that when i'm watching him pull away from me) and than as i hit third i cathc up but its too late - race is over =(

so anyways, will this eliminate the lag in between when the gears switch?

 

It will greatly reduce the time in between shifts so yes it will "eliminate" the lag.

torque converters dont really make a diff in shifting to my knowledge, but the shift kit, you'll love. It's like a whole new car. I got the transgo kit in, and I love it. Shift it much smoother, however, I still prefer to do the D2D shift method to make sure I hit 2nd gear at about 5200RPM. I havent quite set the Tuner to do it for me yet.

 

the best thing you can do for an auto is a tuner with a shift kit usually faster then most manuals enless the driver really knows what there doing

unless you have had experience with that kind of stuff then yea def, but if you havent i wouldnt touch my tranny cause you dont wanna be spend a couple of grand for a new tranny

 

Well one of the other techs suggested not to get a transgo, when i asked why he showed me the million page instruction book. I have put in a few b&ms and off brands but everyone says to go with transgo. Also road runner converters are on sale $150 each, i just picked mine up, 2500 stall. You think its worth it to go transgo?
