pullies?And Nitros?

What exactly will a new set of pullies do?Like a set of them MAC pullies why do people change them?And Nitros with a tune 2000 v6 will stand up to say a 50 shot of nitros and will take v8's such as the GT and Camros.

 

UDP's will give you a little hp and tq, about 4-6hp at the wheels. A 50 hp shot of nitrous is a dry system so you don't need a tune for it. Just run cooler plugs and either high octain gas or octain boost in the gas. A tune will advance your timing and with nitrous you do NOT want it advanced, if anything retarded by 2 degrees but with better gas and cool plugs it will be fine the way it is.

 

underdrive pulleys slow down the accessory drive belt. it basically moves power from the front of the crankshaft to the back.

you'll be close to new edge gt's and lt1 camaros, but forget about ls1 camaros. how close you are to the gt's and lt1's really depends on what else you have done. if you're stock other than pulleys, nitrous, colder plugs and retarded timing, you might not even beat them cause the colder plugs and retarded timing are going to put you back a few hp, they just make it safer to run the juice.

 

Man I wish I could find out what it would take to make this v6 run as fast as anything out there.ill be coming into 10 grand soon selling my 2006 full Pro racing ATV and some other things.

 

With that kind of money you could get a stage 3 kit and a blower (or turbo) and be faster than GT's.

 

How come a grand national is reguarded as such a fast v6 when you tell people about putting a turbo on a v6 mustang its not going to touch a gt still but a grand national you mention that and people say (hell yeah that car is sick)

 

because cars that already have turbos are ten steps ahead of cars without them. that and the grand nationals have a more established aftermarket cause people buy them to race, not floss around impressing preteen girls.

 

UDP's will not have too much of an effect, maybe free up 6-8rwhp if that.

And nitros?
This isn't Need For Speed.
You should read up on nitrous before you put in on your car, another blew his engine from too much "inhalation."
But, if done safe and your careful, nitrous is fine on your engine and should allow you to hang with most camaros and gts, but not the ls1's.

 

My dad has a GNX GN 1987 I think it is.He has offered to give it to me since I was 16 but my mom wouldstunt that.I never thought it was anything till I started reading posts on here in a search.The thing is like new he has it always garage kept and only takes it out on sunny nice days EVERY NOW AND THEN like once in a great while him and my mom will take it out for ice cream or something.But when I was young 4-5 he would win many a car show back then, had a 18 ft covered trailer he use to bring it in.I knew it was sick.However I didnt know it was fast he never use to get on it when I was with him.But he now has a 2002 trans am ram air with a super charger my mom says he is always raise hell with that (mid life crisis).I get to reading all these posts and I might modd the stang out a lil more for my wife but im really thinking about getting my dads GN now.
