my car is making a skweaking sound. i thought it was the belt so i changed that and the sound didnt stop. then i took it up to a shop and the checkedout all the pulleys and lubed them up and still nothin. What else could it be it sounds just like a skweaky belt or pulleys. he said it may be the fly wheel but i really didnt want them goin all in my car if i can avoid it.
its an auto. and skweaks most of the time. and it doesnt matter if im in park drive or anything it just gets a lil lower or louder when im in a diff gear.
I didn't see that before but how would a flywheel squeak? Take a long screwdriver and hold it against the different parts while it's running with the other end to your ear. When you place it on the squeaky part it will be a lot louder there. Probably the idler or alt bearing going out.
yeah i hate to be the grammar ****, but skweak is a pretty butchered attempt at squeak
I actually had to think what he meant for a minute, lol. Then I realized it was "squeak" spelt phoenetically. And hey, ever realize that "phoenitically" isn't spelt phoenetically?
