Default RE: ported intake manifold?

I've just called in some intake manifoldsfrom rpm-mustangs.com about a week ago. Mik, the owner, said that I'll get them in ABOUT a month. They were a little over 1G. It looks / sounds like he does pretty good on the upper intake with the cut and weld (he cuts it 3 times, instead of once like SSM). I have asplit port though.I think all places (rpm, SSM, ect.) do about the same work on the lower intake. If you want to wait about a month for feedback on if they do much or not, you'll have to wait on me for info. But I'm also getting a manifold spacer, thremostat, hopefully a pully and a dyno tune. I already have a 65mm throttle body and bbk intake kit.

Its a good price, but i think it would be worth it to get the PI Heads and intake. Just buy them from the same web site ported already. Just my opinion

Oh and to answer your questions, lol, I think the price is ok (seems kinda high for not including $35-45 gaskests or a $10 thremostat, ect.) and they do port material off, but not much. They mostly do polishing, which is smoothingall the rough stuff, from what I'm told. Does that help?

ya. it cuts down on turbulence and improves air flow. if you get the upper intake lowwer intake and heads they will all be polished and portted and port matched.

Can you explain the PI heads comment???

Good luck getting parts from Morona. From what I've heard, you'll send money, and not get parts for a LONG time. It's a fair price for a ported intake. However, almost any local machine shop will port and polish your intake for you if you take it in to them. Probably for the same or less.
