Don't forget though, the numbers you are hearing for GT's are crank. The dohc GT's are rated at 300 crank hp, with a supercharger you can be pushing that, plus it will be the hp to the wheels. So you can definitely take a new GT if you get your supercharger installed and tuned properly. And like Durr said, "And with some good porting to your intake, valves, high performance heads, and a sweet cam will put you around 380hp if tuned good."

no such thing as a dohc GT. they're called cobras and mach 1s. unless all that power puts you in the low 13s range, you're not going to outrun a mach 1.
