Default Drag times

well i took my bone stock 04 3.9 to the track today and got to run 4 runs in what you all think of my times and what have any of you put down at the track

1st - run i ran in drive and drove arround wet box
2nd - run i took off the air silencer but i drove through the wet box and did a little burn out i trued 12d but spun the whold way through 1 i guess i had water in the grooves of the tires
3rd - run no air silencer drive and drove arround wet box
4th - 12d no silencer and drove arround silencer

Run 1 2 3 4
R/T 0.733 0.667 0.583 0.263
60 2.451 2.964 2.318 2.284
1/8 10.604 11.693 10.417 10.359
mph 67.54 65.98 68.05 68.41
1/4 16.348 17.514 16.135 16.037
[align=left]mph 85.15 84.56 85.52 86.21

i lost every race they put me in hot rod class and i raced a old malibu, camaro ss, mustang fox with nitrous, a cobra

i know my R/T sucks but its my 1st time ever drag racing so
and i didnt know what i should do to my tire pressure so i left it up and didnt mess with it

oh and you want to hear some thing funny my friend ran his turboed integra for the 1st time and put down a 16.6?? but his mph was 125 he was running street tires and spun 1st 2nd and 1/2 of third if he would of hooked he would have been gone the guy he bought it from said it is capable of running 10's

and one of my friends friends ran his turboed tibby and his hood pins broke and his hood flew up at 1/2 track and cracked the windshield and destroyed the hood and f***ed up the roof and the pannels above the mirrors that run up to the roof

dont under inflate the tires

around 5300 rpms, push the button in and pull the shifter back to 2 from drive

Keep the tires inflated like they should be. If you lower them they will arch up in the middle so you won't have the whole tire on the ground. If you want to win races you have to do the same thing round after round, you have to make it your routine a habbit and stick with it so forget that D2D crap. You won't be consistant having to shift it all the time, just let the car do it even if it is slower. it just means you get a longer head start. A friend of mine used to win all the time in a stock VW bug that ran in the high 20's. You don't need to be fast or quick, just get a good reaction time and be consistant.
