Hey guys Iwas just about to order my UPR SS Rear Bumper Inserts and right before I did it made me think since they are stainless steel will they rust? I have never heard of this but it makes sense if SS exhaust tips rust why wouldnt the inserts? let me know if you guys know anything about this or if you have heard anything about it thanks....

 

I had myn on for 2 years and they still looked like the day I bought them.
I have never heard of any rusting before.

Yeah, I think you'll be ok, mine are fine too.

 

I think you'd really have toneglect them for the SS to rust.

they're stain LESS not stain proof, they can rust, but treat them well and they wont.

I baught chrome vinyl ones from stangmods, only cost $15

instead of my $60 SS ones

 

that is true. but if you wash your car regularly then you will be good. if you live by the ocean or salt water they have a higher risk of rusting

 

stainless steel isferrousand is10.5%chromium..Chromium basically protects the steel...It gets its namefrom the fact thatit doesnt stain, corrode or rust as easily as ordinary steel.
