Possytraction!
Ok gents, possytraction displaces the power comming from the engine into the rear wheels evenly, am i right thus far? Is it worth it to get this mod done to my car? Are they're any noticible changes?
posItraction is what the mustang GT's have from 99 up (probably in older ones too but i dunno). The biggest difference you'll get is better grip off the line (better take offs) since you'll spend less time spinning your wheel. I've driven V6's with positraction and the turning characteristics are a little different too. The rear will have a tendancy to want to spin out if you hit corners too hard. That happens with the non posi models too, like mine, but I can just feather the gas to fix that. Posi is less forgiving.
Limited slip is far superior to an open differential for all driving situations. A full ocker is not good for turns or street use, since both wheel turn together no matter what, no reduction for each wheel in turns. The more tires you have with power to them, the better the handling characteristics of the vehicle, which is why all wheel drive is a superior setup for handling and control.
The most noticable change you will see from doing limited slip is increased acceleration due to lack of wheel spin.

Oh, almost forgot...Positraction is a chevy name for LSD (Limited Slip Differential). Fords name for it Trak-loc differential or something like that.
Not to be confused with a Detroit Locker (Full locking differential) where both wheels spin at the same speed no matter what.
Just wanted tomake sure there wasn't any confusion. Ryan also mentioned the open differential which is what a stock v6 mustang has. One wheel spinner.

well, i will also be getting a Supercharger, Exhaust, GT Break system all at once in addition to the Trak-loc differential as derf00 mentioned. So with the greater increase of power ultimately i need some feedback on weather its worth it to get but wheels kickin up gravel, hehe
I need more input on this one gents, it would save me some good pocket change it someone could give me a good reason not to get it, but at the same time if it is worth it let me know.
if you plan on putting a supercharger on your car a t-lok (posi-traction) is a very good idea, otherwise you will never be able to hook that kind of power with an open diff. most guys get a gear upgrade to 3.73's (manual) or 4.10's (auto) when they install a t-lok so that is worth thinking about too
short answer: yes a t-lok is well worth it
