this is prolly a noob question but how do i take the piece off my dash thats in front of the gauges.

 

Um...if you're talking about what I think you're talking about you need to take the top 2 screws out and the light **** off(pull it and move it until you see an opening and with a screwdiver or something unhook the clamp, and just pull it off while holding it.)
