OK, now that summer is quickly approaching, and modding the stang isn't completely worthless like it was in the winter, I think its time to start it up.

Through an awesome twist of fate, I will not have to pay my car insurance this month ($300). Yes its allot.

So I was thinking of going with a shift kit. Was going to go with a Transgo.

Only problem is, there are so many shift kits out from Transgo, which one works the best?

And am I correct in assuming about $100-115 for the kit, and $200 for the install?

winter is the best time to mod. you won't be driving your car as much.

Well, summer is when I have more money. And I usually drive just as much in the winter as in the summer, no lie.

Would this work? Is almost $30 cheaper.

EDIT: After looking at the auction, looks like its for a 5 speed?

Yep, that will work.

It says right on it that it is for the AODE transmission.

You should save that $200.00 and do it yourself. It's really not as hard as you think and most come with very good directions then take the money you saved to go for another mod.

I would love to be able to install it myself and save a ****load more mod money, but idk it looks pretty difficult.

When I get the kit, ill check it out, watch the video, and some tutorials.

Me and my room mate could probably do it in a saturday afternoon.

After all, we basically just tore down his 99 Ranger (filled our garage).

go to transgo's site. they have a few different kits. one of them is a full manual kit that you must shift through the gears yourself, then there is another that does somethin else, then the one that jefferson got and its on summit that just improves the cars shifts.
