decklid vinyl came....no instructions??
you need:
-a small ice scraper or squee-gee
-a small spray bottle; fill it with water and a couple drops of dish soap
-micro fiber cloth
1.) clean the decklid with a solvent
2.) give the area a few sprays of the solution in the spray bottle
3.) i started with the outer sections and worked my way inward. you can start with the center piece and go outward if you want. doesn't really make a diff.
4.) peel the backing off and spray the sticky part with the solution so you can still move it around
5.) once you get it where you want it, use the squee-gee to get as many air bubbles out as you can. use a micro-fiber cloth to wipe away the solution (paper towel will scratch the vinyl and make it look like crap)
6.) there will be small bubbles that you can't get. don't worry they will go away over a few days as it dries. if there are a few big ones left over, pop them with a fine needle.
that's it man.
also on the corners, i would suggest trimming the corner (the corner 90º right? with scissors cut a small slit at 45º so that you make two flaps. fold one first, then the other over it)
this will make sense when you are trying to fold the corners over the lips of the decklid.

he pretty much covered it all, mine wouldnt stick on one of the corners and it continued not to stick after a day or so. i tried to squeege it down again and it ripped, i was pissed but he is sending me that piece alone for just shipping cost. so it will be fixed in a few days.
Thanks guys...Im so pumped to put all my new crap on my car. I went on a spree and ordered like 7 new parts in the last week. I just want to wait until its warm to put most of them on.
btw i learned the paper towel thing the hard way. if you look close at mine you can see all the swirl marks where i wiped it with the paper towel. the micro-fiber was an after thought. i'm pretty sure that won't scratch it. either way when i wax the car you can't really see them anymore. just mostly when it is dirty.
what other goodies did you get?
