Default decklid paint..

so i like the look of the vinyl and i'm actually considering painting..there is a good chance i may bc i have somebody who will paint it "porsche black" for me bc that is the paint he has...

the only thing is, how much money will it be for clear coat paint and can i just get it from home depot and is there a special kind i would need?

also, is that all i will need to buy is just clear coat to put on after he paints it if i decide to do this?

sorry for making my own post when there is already one similar[&o]

I would think you would have to sand it down, put primer paint on, then the black, then clear.

If you like the look of it, then why are you going to paint it and waste money unless it's free.

You have to use automotive paint so go to a paint shop for it. Even to paint a small section won't be cheap for materials though. The smallest can of paint is pints, some clears and catlyst are qts only. Then there's primer, tape, tach cloths, etc, etc.
