I have a custom H pipe...and i have flow 40's....but i was thinking about either cutting off the cats...or just mashing the inards out so it looks like there still on there.

Which way will sound better

Ive been told that my car will sound like rice when there off/smashed out....does anyone have a sound clip of a 95-97 V6 with o/r flows? no enginme mods really excet for pulleys and taken of the air silencer

Is there really a BIG difference in how loud the exhaust is after the cats are gone? I just want it to sound betetr at idle....its to quiet right now

( also what kind and where can i get a good cam for my car....somthing to have a really throaty sound like its about to stall that thumpidy sound like cars from the 70's.....is supersix the only place? )

Doesn't matter how you do it, it will sound 10X better with no cats.

Is it extremely loud? Like cops pull me over loud?

And I just listened to a 01 V6 mustang custom H no cats....

Are mine and that going to sound the same or is it a completley diff sound since its an 01?

Well that's not a good clip, sound quality wise anyways, but it will sound similar. Remember, 94-98s make less power than 99-04s, so they won't make quite the same sound because of the difference in airflow between the two, but they will be similar.

An O/R h pipe will not be so loud a cop will pull you over, seriously, even GTs have that kind of problem, to be that loud you either must have a wicked exhaust set up, or one mean *** cam with a wicked *** exhaust setup. Trust me, if you like the way it sounds now, you'll love it with the O/R h pipe.

I was quoted $50 to take out the inards of the cats...should i do it that way

it could just be me but every clip i hear on youtube of 96-98 v6 mustangs with o/r pipes sound 2 times better than a 99-04 v6.... it sounds deeper for some reason....could it be because of the single port instead of dual? idk....liste and judge for yourself...appearently come to find out im not the only one who has noticed this.
