i posted this in the 05, 06, 07 section and they recommended i post it here since you guys might know more about the whole dual pipe conversion:

im used to picking out parts for my fox but this is for my friend's '07 4.0
she wants the absolute best exhaust, power and sound for her car, dual tips too (going to replace the rear bumper with a gt to fit the 2 pipes)

the best headers i can find are the ceramic JBA shorties (silver and titanium, pros and cons on each?). anyone know of any longtubes for the 4.0? and as far as the midpipe goes, she wants it offroad so will a regular offroad H or X from a 4.6 fit or would it have to be specific to the 4.0? and for mufflers anything loud and mean except flowmasters. i personally like the sound but too many people have them.

you will have to get a 4.0 specific midpipe. im not sureif the 4.0's exhaust manifolds are as good as the sn95's so i couldnt tell you anything about those. the sn95's wont gain anything really from shorty headers. the stockers flow really well. for the mufflers, i like flows or force pro series mufflers. look on summitfor the force pro series. its what ive got and i love em. again though, im not sure what will sound good on the 4.0. especially since the muffers are in the very back and that changes the way they sound.
