Default tires...

I'm gonna be needing some tires this month 245/45R17. I go to the drag strip a couple times a summer as well as some auto cross a couple times of summer. I consider myself a more aggressive driver than normal on the street. Any suggestions on the tires I should get?

Falken ZE-329s from Big-O. they are a special order, Big-O only tire. i have them right now. 400 treadwear rating! 245/45/WR17s were like $128 a piece i believe. they have a one year warranty, in which if you run over a nail and they can't repair it, they replace the tire for free (i had that happen). also free lifetime rotation/balancing/flat repairs. they have a 40000mi (i believe)/1 year warranty.

i had BFG Comp T/A HRs before them. (H-rated crap. had no grip and they were loud as hell). these Falkens grip pretty damn well in dry or wet and they are 100x quieter than the BFGs. trust me i was leary of putting "made in japan" tires on my car but i love em and would definitely buy them again. i have almost 20k miles on them and they still have about 60% tread; and i drive HARD. i also do a lot of canyon runs on the weekends when i'm not working, so they get worked as well. and i STILL have 60% tread left.

they are actually rated pretty good, but i wouldn't put anything korean on my car IMO. japan was pushing it, even though i like imports too; just seemed wierd to put Falkens on my mustang even if there IS a Mustang drifter sponsored by them.
