YES, by all means. Now when the gears are brand new, there may be a small whine, but that's about it, but if it's overly noticible, then they're not installed properly.

is driving 50 miles and letting the car kool off 3 times enough to brake the gears in or should I do the 500 mile thing

No, a minimum of 500 miles is what is really required, it's best to go 750-1000, so better plan a quick trip.

Yes, they do have a discount, I believe it's stangforums, but I really don't remember.

It's all that's needed, but no reason not to be safe about it, now when you do a clutch, you deffinitly have to go around 500 or more miles, but in any since, that's a good break in for any drivetrain related install, guranteed to make sure everything works out fine, and breaks in evenly.
