I had a question. does anyone kno how to get the loudest possible but throaty sound out of a v6 2004 automatic? this is all i got. and i was thinkin a glasspack or cherry bomb. does n e 1 hav n e experience with these things? Thanx

 

Being loud doesn't mean it will sound good plus if too loud it will most likely drone inside the car a lot. You can remove the rear cats and got to a dual exhaust and install some good mufflers with turn downs (dumps). Muffler sound is a prsonal choice though, I like the magnaflow myself, not as ricey sounding as some.

Just look at the ten billion exhaust post here, you'll learn what to do and what to get. But as stated, louder doesn't always mean better.

 

A V6 can only get so loud till it sounds like a bunch of dying cats. The best possible sound out of a V6 is MAC LT headers, MAC off road h-pipe, and Flow 40's. If you throw a cam in there, it'll sound even better. But you can't go too loud.

I'm not sure how it sounds on a sixer, but a kid who drops his gf off at my school has a GT with loudmouth mufflers and it is LOUD. I saw him drive by me on the highway when I was at the storeand I could hear him for nearly a mile. Sounded like absolute ****, but its loud.
