not everybody lives in strict *** cali. so not everybody has smog laws like you raz

should be fine if you dont live there donner

First off I don't have any inspections up where I live, they are in the southern part of the state. Secondly there are lots of states that DO have inspections just as strick as Ca's and I was only pointing out a potential problem with LT's if they have inspections where he lives. I would hate to suggest to some one to install them then have him get fined. You can make a V6 sound good and still be legal was my point.

LT's aren't emission friendly? Since when? As long as you have a catted mid pipe you should pass, no?

I was told, perhaps incorrectly, that it is a violation of Federal law in all 50 states to even so much as move the cats from their stock location, so technically, long tubes are 50 state illegal which is why they always have the fine print in the ads for them that they are for off-road use only. That having been said, in most of the states that have emissions (excluding Cali of course), if you show up for inspection with long tubes but you do have cats on there somewhere, they will usually pass you, because the inspection stations really don't want to be bothered measuring to make sure your cats are in the "stock location", they don't care.

To sound like a Cobra, the setup you'll need is a for sale sign for the V6 and some more money. Possibly the newspaper to locate the Cobra you want to buy.

A V6 will never sound like a Cobra. Or a GT. Or anything with 8 cylinders.
Its actually because our cars have an even firing order...

I have heard some nice soundingV6's on this forum. I have to admit they don't sound like a Cobra.
But what the heck, go back to some of the postings and listen to the clips. I see one posting here with clips on how they sound. Have fun anyways.

I don't know about a Cobra but 6ers can come very close to the same sound as a GT. I bet if I were to put together a bunch of audio clips of V6 and V8 Mustangs with various exaust setups most people wouldn't be able to tell all of them apart.

You'd be able to tell once the sixers revved over 3000 rpms.
