Yes, another exhaust thread.

I currently have flow 40's with a custom catted h-pipe.

I was wondering that since SLP mufflers are pretty much the loudest you can get for the GT's, does anyone know how they sound on the 3.8?

Most here are going to say they sound like crap on a 3.8 but most of them will have never heard it so you kinda gotta find out for yourself.

If you decide to go for it screw the SLPs theyre way too expensive for what your buying, go to summitt and get some Dynomax bullit mufflers they are the sam thing for 1/3 of the price.

And yes they are some of the loudest mufflers you can get, just a strait through design muffler (not much muffling).

They aren't really all that deep on a V8, they're not gonna sound deep at all on a V6. On V8's they're just for that ballsy loud as possible while still having an exhaust kind of thing.

I haven't personally heard them on a 6 but I would imagine they sound like poo, to be honest. They'd be loud but the tone would be awful probably... I knew a guy who had Dynomax bullet mufflers on a GTP, it was really ricey. Straight through muffs in general don't seem to sound too good on 6ers, although I'm sure there are exceptions depending on the exact setup...

There is a bunch of postings on here with sound clips of their cars and the mods on exhaust they did to them. Just look around and listen to the clips.
