Default Rear girdles

Does anyone here have a rear girlde on there rear end. What isthe benefit to installing one. Are they necesarry for a supercharger or any kind. Whether is a procharger, Vortech, or M90 blower. Is it needed or just extra reasurrance?

Yeah but do you need one? It is a must to have one. I mean is it required for the procharger? Nanaki. Anyone.

it's not required but it helps. don't even bother using it with a t-lok it won't help strengthen or stop a t-lok from grenading it's spyders. use it with a detroit or don't use it at all

I have to disagree, it will help the t-lock as well. Yes the spiders are the weak link but a girdle helps to keep the diff from any flexing which is how the spiders get destroyed. However if you are running a procharger I would not use a t-lock anyway, get an auburn or detroit and add a girdle for extra safety.

I have a detroit truetrac in the rearend. I never had a girdle put on. Isnt that good enough? My detroit diff should hold without a girdle want it?
