Depending on the "kit", you should be able to buy an all inclusve SC. Look at Pro Chargers for your car.

www.Supersixmotorsports.com is releasing a kit to put a 2003/04 Cobra M112 Supercharger on the 99+ splitport engines.

Now that doesnt mean that you cant do it too, just get a set of plitport heads and your more then on your way to awesome power levels, the new splitport heads will also help increase horsepower.

Nathan and Matt acheived almost 600rwhp on a 3.8L that was fairly stock, the only problem they had was when running 22psi and a large shot of nitrous the head pulled away from the block. With a more sound tune 600rwhp shouldnt be too far off.

There are going to be a lot of people saying "WTF, 600rwhp on a fairly stock bottom end? NO WAY" well to all those who are saying that, I dont see you out there doing it

Conservative levels are suppose to be 300-350rwhp before parts begin to fail. Matt and Nathan really pushed the limits of this humble V6.

contact Justin Starkey at www.vmptuning.com he sells everything you need for a procharger kit. expect about 240rwhp and 275ftlbs of torque with the 11 psi procharger kit for your 97 on an internally stock engine. that a big difference sinse the 97 engine only makes 120hp at the rear tires stock.

i love my procharger

I'm pushing my power on a built 4.2L.
The kit will do an easy 300 to the wheels on a good condition stock 3.8L.
But it is only for the split port cars right now.

Single port has other options as well.
Are you really on the other side of the pond?

Sweet, not too many stang owners over there. There are a few places that sell the full Pro Charger kit for your car. Shop around. You'll be very happy with the results. They work very well with stock motors.
