1st off Yes i have check the previous posts they helped but not much

I want to change out my 7.5 to a 8.8......28 or 31 tooth havent really decided yet

or is there parts i can get to go in my rear end to make it a 8.8 like the GT's

You can change out parts in your rear end, but it wont be an 8.8; only way to do that is swap out for an 8.8.

You can put a t-lock/auburn/trutrac inside your 7.5 and get the same result. up to you on the end result that your looking for.

depends on which posi you go with. the t-lok is weak and will break at ~ 300-350hp. but the other two will prolly be good to around 550+ horses. Once again it depends on how high u wanna go. Most people dont break the 300 mark to warrant anything that high. I dont know the exact mark of the 8.8 but an educated guess would be at around 350-400 horses.

yeah i did so that post but he got his rear end from a fox body so i didnt really read all of it but thanx

but i am planing on goin' twin tubo or S/C so i will be braking that 350 HP make so should i go a head and get a 8.8 from a GT? or a better posi

You'd probably be fine with just a better posi...but if you find a good deal on an 8.8 go for it.

That rear end is exactly what you need to properly convert. You don't need the shocks, control arms or brakes, but if it's there, then why not. The spiders in the t-lok are generally the weak link, so a stronger lsd would be prefered for tq numbers above 350 lbft
