from what i've read the c springs will lower the front about 1 1/8" and the back like a 1/2" and the roush springs will lower it 1 1/2" and 5/8". my wheel/ tire setup is 18x10" FR500's in the rear and 17x9" tires in the front. 275/40/18 in the rear and here is where it kinda gets tricky, when i bought the tires my dumbass got way to skinny of a tire on the fornt so i am thinkin' deciding between 245/45/17 or 275/40/17 for the front. i want the tire/wheel to be the same hieght as the stockers. does any body know what the stock tire size is on a 98? know back to the springs. I live in the hill country and there is alot of steep sh*t and bumps and sh*t you know, so i don;t want it to be too low plus i am going to get LT's and i don't want them to scrape to bad so i really think the c spings wil be perfect. i don't want the car to be dropped like a mother ****er just a little bit with a little rack and better performance. does anyone have any pointers to help me out? and does anyone know the stock sping rates in a 98 v6?

this link will give you a good idea of what the spring rates are for various springs...if you don't want to read it your spring rating is 450 lbin in front and 210 in back

you go go 275/40 or 265/40 17 in the front for those rims. and either spring set will be pretty good.

i hate to bust ur bubble but i think u need wider tires in the rear, its not necessary but u got a 10" rim and basically a 9" tire, some 315/30/18's would go very nicely and i would look into a 255-265 for the front
the springs just depend on what u want as in height, i would suggest the roush but if u dont want that much of a drop then go with the c springs, u will be fine as of rim/tire clearance with either

I can't say what the roush springs are like but I have the C's and am very happy with them. Yes the rear is only 1/2" drop but it gives it a nice rake plus if you decide you want it another 1/2" lower it's easy to cut off the dead coil for a full 1" drop and still have a nice rake but less gap. I like the way they firmed up the ride, it feels more like a sports car instead of a grocery getter. This is what it looks like with the dead coil cut off the rear.

ok so im pretty set on the c springs, now back to the tires. i can't pay an arm and a leg for ****ing tires. the ones on the back look good now as they are. and plus those would be some heavy mother ****ers too. i also don't want the front tire to be thicker than my back tire. so you think i should go 275/40/17 and 275/40/18? just to let you know i am kepping the back tires how they are, they are falken fk-452's and work very well in various conditions.
i think i am going to get falken rt-615's 275/40/17 for the front. and the c springs. oh and put a turn down right after the muffler so i don't have that lil v6 wiener thing hangin' out.

awsome, i'm sold. now i just have to get my old man to buy the front tires and i'll be sittin' pretty.

I didn't like the single pipe either but didn't want it to drone like with a turn down so I just cut mine off where it started to bend down. Now you can't see it unless you bend down and look and it still sounds good.
