Well Im about to get my install of 4.10s and t-lok next week. FINALLY. But after reading this post im second guessing it now. Should I still continue with the install?

I would go ahead with the install.... I feel like I am just one bad apple. I have heard too many good about the gears to say otherwise.

 

Who put your gears in because theres no ****in way that if you have 4.10's you can't spin the tires, are your shifts nice and firm and do they jerk you a bit when it does shift!!!!!

 

they WILL NOT get any better then what they are right now. I would have to say driver then.

BTW: I have a tune its predator basic diablo tune. it is suprisingly aggressive.. so my tires chrip going into second and sometimes third.

the other thing i think may be happening is the torque converter is slipping.. the only reason i say this is because i get good acceleration from about 40+ mph. Any way to tune it so it locks up sooner?

-anyone else think this is a possibility?

 

You have an auto right? Do you have to tune ur car to compliment the gears maybe?

 

yeah, I do have an auto. how would you, suggest tuneing it. i set the axle ratio to 4.10 but evrything else is diablosports stock preformance tune

 

i dont have any experience with tuners as of yet, im hoping to get one sooner or later, any one got any suggestions for him?

 

If your tuner lets you change your shift points and shift firmness and just play around with that!!!!
