Default Ford Symbol

here's what i've been thinking...i kind of want to take the decklid vinyl off of my trunk bc it doesn't look "clean".. i'm critical like that...

question though, if i remove the ford symbol on the back, do you think it will leave a dark mark around the circle where it lays?? i'm nervous

what should i use to take it off

Most factory emblems are die cast and held on with 2 (or more) push on clips over studs which go through to the inside.

not on the mustang, the pins are just alignment pins. it is held on by emblem adhesive. there will be 2 holes left.

Yeah i just removed mine to put on the actual honeycomb grill, wasn't expecting the holes. You can always cover them up with some other emblem of your choosing, unless you were set on going emblem-less

Yea, took mine off my 5.0 a couple of weeks ago, had two small holes back there, covered it up with an SVT badge.[8D]Yea, it's on the wrong side of the car, but what the hey.

Yes, you can use bondo, or the equivilant to fill the holes, then paint over them, but other than that, you're screwed. Just click on my sig and get yourself a nice 232 badge to cover up the holes.
